Traxx Show Features Five
By JEANNETTE
On Thursday, October 22nd, TRAXX hosted a show featuring Crystal Starr, Miz D, Katie Alexander, Kara Deleuew and from Boston, Mass., Tina Lea. During this exceptionally long show, all entertainers performed their numbers equally well, and, at times, I thought I was at a fashion show.
All these "ladies" wore gowns, and outfits that certainly put mine to shame, and, I must say, rival that of any blue-blooded lass. Kara's red sequined, strapless gown, worn with a black crushed velvet jacket, was quite revealing, to say the least; Crystal's green gown, hemmed by yellow feathers and accentuated by a yellow feather boa and dripping "diamonds," was stunning; Tina's black chiffon gown with white feathers, gold sequin applique, and rhinestone beads was breathtaking and looked like it weighed a ton, yet still allowed for plenty of motion; Katie, dazzling as always, looked
especially splendid in a tunic-top gown of brown flowing Qiana; and, the ever fashion conscious Miz D, was cream of the crop with her designer outfits that defy words -how does one explain an Yves Saint Laurent red wrap bordered by red osprey feathers over a rhinestoned black lace corset and garter, or, a scrumptous black, with white minidots, silk gown, diagonally hemmed with a double row of white feathers and black feathers, and spaghetti criss-cross straps? I really can't describe all the wonderful clothes that were worn that night -I'm not the "Fashion Editor," you know.
Musical selections were varied (from Kara's "Let's Get Physical", Katie's "Everything To Me," "Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend," Crystal's "Boobs", "Somewhere", Tina's "Can't Turn You Loose," "Judy Garland Medley", to Miz D's "Boy From New York City," "Slow Hand" and "9 to 5") and represented Country-Western, Rock, Disco, New Wave, Broadway, Pop and
Comedy. Miz D and Crystal's duet of "The Real Miss America Contest" provided many laughs and had me, for one, in stitches.
All of those performers did their very best to entertain the crowd and provided a much-needed relief from the mid-week doldrums.

The next show at TRAXX, a Christmas show featuring TRAXX employees, should be another treat and I can't wait to see the likes of Butch, John and Totie in make-up, dresses and heels... Hope to see you there for, at least, a night full of laughs and good times.
